It can be: Each patient is different and each surgery and surgeon is different. It's always  good idea to hope for the best and be prepared for the worse.

: Not knowing the typeof surgery that you had (hard or soft tissue) it's hard to say. In moderation, and the surgery was hard tissues (tooth) repair, you should be OK. But I would be concerned as to why you need alcohol to address a stressful situation.

Unusual: More information is needed please.   What medical issues do you have if any.  What was the cause of the oaf?  Do you have sinusitis?   Do you smoke?  Were you compliant with medications, follow up appointments and instructions recommended by your doctor?   See an oral surgeon.   Good luck.

Unusual: But remember that no two people react to medication exactly the same way.  Talk to the Dentist that did the treatment.  Your son may or may not actually be remembering.  Worth investigating.

No: Dds or dmd are the professional designations for doctors of dental surgery or dental medicine. Oral surgery is a recognized specialty within dentistry that requires additional training.
