No: No, the only type of surgery known to specifically add height to a person has been elective limb lengthening reconstruction.

Surgery: If you have an extra $100k and years of your life you don't mind loosing to recovery, then it might be feasible.  Surgery to make you taller is not covered under insurance and is significantly expensive.  With that said, there's no way to tell how much your smoking habit decreased your potential for growth.

i have knock knees. will i get taller if i have a surgery to correct my knock knees?

Yes: The technical term for knock knees is genuine valgum.  Correction of the deformity will straighten the leg and make the vertical distance of your leg, therefore making you taller.  The main exception to this is if your surgeon does a closing wedge osteotimy, then bone is removed from the leg and then height gain would be negligible.

True.: Unfortunately, after your growth plates close in your bones after puberty you will not grow any taller.

No effect: There is no effect in height after sleep apnea surgery.  It is very rare for someone to have sleep apnea surgery prior to full growth anyway.  The only exceptions may be kids with severe craniofacial abnormalities. Even then there is no effect on height.

Is possible: Surgery can be done to correct the more severe cases of bow leggedness. Correcting the problem and getting the legs straighter, plus the extra blood flow to the bones during healing, may make one slightly taller after recovery. If planned ahead, some patients undergo leg lengthening, using external frames screwed into bone, that can stretch legs 1mm per day for months, up to a few inches maximum.

Possibly: It is possible that this would make you taller,but a spinal surgeon is best qualified to advise you after an evaluation.

Obesity: Your bmi is 40.7, so you would be in a range that might benefit from bariatric surgery. Inhaled steroids used for asthma aren't generally absorbed past the lungs, & not shown to contribute to weight gain. As with any surgery, there are risks associated with with it, & it will forever change how you eat. If you can loose the weight by diet & excercise, that might be better. Good luck.

when i was 11 years old i got diagnosed with scoliosis. i am currently 18 years old (female) and my curves are 50 and 42, and i am currently 163cm. if i do the surgery, will i get taller? + when i was 16 my doctor said my growth plates arent closed?
