my son has strep and he coughed and a little spit got in my eyes.  can i get strep in my eye.  what are the symptoms that i should look out for.

Strept: It is possible to get strept through any mucous membrane. Check with your doctor if you have a sore throat, fever over 101, or redness or drainage from your eyes.

my son rolls his eyes to one side for one second or soo and thencomes back to normal .this happens when he has cold or strep throat , tiered . should i get him checked?

May need to see doc: Sorry to hear this! Unfortunately, you will not sleep well until it passes. Make sure ou keep hydrated and take a mixture of Tylenol, an antihistamine and a decongestant. Sleep on your side or stomache if you can. See a doctor if the chocking is alarming you.

Not likely: Only some rare strains of strep cause true nec fasc. You would see an unmistakable painful swelling of your genitals.

my son has a green mucky eye, doctors done a swab it came back as strep something. how can i help make it go quicker? they gave him oflaxacin.

Resistance?: Usually with antibiotic there is a quick, almost 24 hour response!  if not, here may be some resistance specially to oflaxacin.  If dragging on to 3rd day with poor response, revisit our ophthalmologist for re-evaluation!

Strep: I'm sure they are all related. U probably need some eye drops and antibiotics

Not likely: The germ that causes strep does not usually cause infection in the eye.

i woke up with really blurry eyes. i am on amox/k clav and prednisone for strep. i was also given a shot of strong antibiotic. what should i do?

If your eyes do not: improve in acuity over the next 24 hours, make an appointment with an eye doctor.  It is possible that you have conjunctivitis with whatever Strep infection you had.  Or it could be allergic conjunctivitis.  If you start having eye pain though that is not normal and you should see a healthcare provider right away.  Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.

i am being treated for strep no test because i have no insurance skin around my eyes is yellowing and my abdomen hurts and is swollen. bowels are greenish as well

Please : Please follow up with your physician.  Your symptoms are vague, but of concern is your description that you might have jaundice.  This would make me very concerned about hepatitis.  This could be a coincidence with another associated medical problem, a complication or side effect of your medication treatment for strep throat, or a different ilness associated with sore throat such as infectionus mononucleosis.  You need to be reexamned and have some tests. Best wishes.
