i have had a miscarriage i stopped bleeding and had unprotected sex but then had a scan yesterday and was told theres some pregnancy tissue left. could i get pregnant whilst theres pregnancy tissue left?

No: As long as the residual fetal tissue is present HCG hormone will be secreted and ovulation will not usually occur to get pregnant. However, the greater concern is the residual tissue increases your risk of getting an infection if not removed or dissipated.

Depends: What pcos medications?
Birth control pills are often used in pcos.  (don't take while pregnant)
metformin is used in pcos.
(can be taken during pregnancy) discuss with physician before starting.
Any medication that reduces hair growth associated with pcos. (don't take)
steroids. (don't take).

Difficult to know: It would probably be hard to prove.  If you had missed several periods, then there is a chance.  Hope this helps.

Unclear why: One of her tubes being blocked isn't typically a risk factor for miscarriage.  She should definitely see an ob/gyn as some testing could be done to see if there's a problem with the placenta, most common reason.  There could also be a balanced translocation, wherein your chromosomes and your wife's create a pregnancy not compatible with life.  An experts opinion/help is what's needed now.

Stop smoking: Smoking raises the risk of miscarriage. Stop smoking to decrease your risk of miscarriage and many other harmful effects to you and your baby. There are no studies regarding the effects of E Cigs or Vaping in pregnancy so the best choice if to stop. E Cigs likely exposed your baby to less chemicals than cigarettes but neither are considered safe.

1 month: After a miscarriage, the initial cycle is delayed, even in the setting of a d;c because HCG levels fall slowly.  You will probably ovulate about 3-4 weeks after the d;c and your cycle will come two weeks later.  You should avoid pregnancy until at least your next normal period occurs.  Your doctor should specifically address how long they would like you to wait.
