1 month: After a miscarriage, the initial cycle is delayed, even in the setting of a d;c because HCG levels fall slowly. You will probably ovulate about 3-4 weeks after the d;c and your cycle will come two weeks later. You should avoid pregnancy until at least your next normal period occurs. Your doctor should specifically address how long they would like you to wait.
