Oral ulcers: The small mouth ulcers may or may not be herpetic. Either way they are contagious and can be spread by sharing a cigarette.

Ulcers: Often stress related or due to many viral infections, but can be a sign of more serious disease. See your doctor.

Change  toothpaste: Some times tatar control toothpaste can cause gum sensitivity.  Also try to avoid highly acidic foods until your mouth feels better.

Nonspecific sore: It is very likely that she has nonspecific mouth ulcer associated with viral illness.  Canker sore is not common at this young age.

Primary oral herpes?: Sounds like you might have primary (i.e. intitial infection) with oral herpes simplex virus, probably type 1 (HSV1). Effective treatment is available but must be started promptly. See your GP ASAP; or if it might have been sexually acquired (partner with known oral or genital herpes, new partner, etc) consider visiting one of UK's excellent NHS GUM clinics. Probably unrelated to your late period.

did intense workout 1 week ago. had severe muscle soreness. now my gums are extremely inflamed, lymph nodes under jaw swollen and have mouth ulcers. ?

Not: Not from the workout.  Ulcers and gum inflammation indicates gum infection, probably viral or bacterial.  When this happens the lymph nodes, acting as a filter, become swollen.  Please see your Dentist.  Referral to a gum specialist, a Periodontist, may be in order.

Virus? Herpes?: If new in past few days, probably a virus, expecially herpes if maybe exposed (kissing, performing oral sex). Other viruses also can do this, and some non-infectious diseases. Get care ASAP, including ER or urgent care if necessary (don't wait til Monday). If herpes, the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. If this is longstanding, contact the doctor treating you.

can you get mouth ulcers on your lip? i believe i have one on my bottom lip. it is not a cold sore as i do not get them and there are no clusters of blisters. if so, what can i do to get rid of it as it isnt inside my lip but on the outside? thanks?

Aphthous stomatitis: Could be aphthous stomatitis. see dermatologist to confirm. Occasionally, a herpetic lesion may present like this also.

why do we get mouth ulcers on the tongue?

Oral hygiene...: ...Appears to play a major role in canker sores on tongue. Check the ingredient label on your toothpaste to see whether it contains sodium lauryl sulfate (sls). Try an alternative product without sls and compare the results. Try an antimicrobial mouthwash, and a steroid rinse or gel (which requires a prescription). Minimize trauma in the mouth such as over-aggressive brushing.
