No risk, no worry: Herpes is not transmitted by shared clothing, towels, toilets, etc. You can find claims about catching it this way, but these are old wives' tales left over from decades ago, before the truth was known about sexual transmission and about the fact that a person can have the first known outbreak many years after being infected sexually.

Extremely unlikely: This is an old wives' tale. You get genital herpes only by having sex with an infected person. There has never been a proved case from sharing intimate clothing, towels, bathrooms, etc.

Not likely: But anything is possible.  Usually genital herpes requires direct contact.

Yes: you can get oral herpes by sharing drinks. 
Exchange of fluid is a good medium for the virus to transmit from person to person.

i have a cold sore. i have a tooth brush i was using to like scrub my lips with with my bar of soap and like scrubbing off the blood from my nails from picking at it. to then use my soap and wash cloth to bathe. can i get genital herpes now?

: No risk, no worries. Self-transfer of herpes to a new body area almost never happens. People are immune or at least highly resistant to new infection, anywhere on the body, with the herpes type they already have. Nobody with oral herpes ever gives themselves genital herpes by contacting the oral outbreak and then their genital area. Don't worry about it.

small open kind of round wound side of penis. does not hurt. new bathing suit yesterday maybe rubbed? havent had new sex partner in two years. this cant be syphillis it herpes right? would those symptoms already would have presented themselves?

: A painless genital ulcer (open sore) is a very typical description of primary syphilis, but absence of sexual contact in the preceding 2-3 weeks rules out syphilis. It could be herpes, i.e. a recurrent outbreak of a previously asymptomatic infection. (Not all herpes has blisters or multiple lesions.) You're the best judge whether your new bathing suit is the cause. Get checked if still in doubt.

Wouldn't think so...: Anything can happen in life, but herpes is not spread that way. The main reason is that "bathing and showering" includes washing ones hands. The hands are just as clean or even cleaner than the rest of the body, at the end of "bathing and showering".

Maybe: If you are shedding virus, you could potentially spread the disease. Still, in a tub of water, it would be very diluted and would not survive for long outside of your body. As long as you are bathing alone, i suspect it would be extremely unlikely that you would spread the infection.

Herpes simplex: You do not get herpes from bath water.  The virus will die very quickly in the bath and transmission is virtually always by direct contact.
