No, but: Intimate contact with someone who has herpes and is actively shedding the virus can result in transmission of the virus and a new infection in the recipient.  Someone could certainly contract the virus during kissing of any sort, but not everyone who is french kissing gets herpes.

No: Unless she has the genital herpes on her lips, which is possible, then just kissing will not expose you to the genital herpes.

: By far the main cause of mouth or lip ulcers is herpes; this might just be a worse than usual recurrence of your longstanding infection. Two weeks is too long for symptoms of a new HSV infection, and anyway you are immune to a new infection with HSV type 1. To confirm the likely diagnosis,have an HSV PCR test from the ulcers ASAP -- within 2-3 days of onset, if possible. Good luck.

Stop sex contact.: Herpes is a viral infection on the soft mucosal tissues in the mouth, tongue and lips.  It can be spread to the genital area of the body and elsewhere if, the lesions are broken.  Go and see your family doctor or family dentist.  They can treat you with steriods or antiviral medications.  Once you get the virus; you will have it through life.

No risk: Possible? Maybe, at least theoretically. But if so, it is extremely unlikely. Of the milliions of people infected worldwide in the 30+ years of hte known HIV/AIDS epidemic, none are known to have been acquired by kissing. Among other things, saliva kills HIV -- which is one reason why oral sex also carries little or no risk of HIV.
