my friend just said i need to run to the dr for antibio's for my 7 day long sinus infection. i had c diff and want to avoid that. who's right?

Both: You are both right. It will be a good idea to have your sinus infection checked and have a treatment plan, most sinus infections do not need antibiotics. You are right also being afraid that possible antibiotic treatment may result in reactivation of your C diff colitis. I would recommend that you let your doc know and let him or her worry about treatment complications.

Possibly: Any infection can lead to systemic symptoms due to the inflammatory process it causes.  If you are having systemic symptoms such as these (especially if you also have a fever) you should seek medical care to determine if the boil needs to be drained and if you need to be treated with antibiotics.

Could be: Could be viral syndrome, push fluids, rest and see your doc if persisting, or other symptoms.

Possibly but: Many people have post-nasal drips and only rarely do people get really sick from it.  I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about this since i'd doubt that post-nasal drips are causing much of your problem.

Anxiety and depressi: Yes definitely having both of these will make you feel drained. You will feel tired, have lack of motivation, inability to concentrate and also insomnia. These affect your immunity and hence make you more prone to infections.

Rheum management: You need to get in control of your disease, rather than letting it control you. (easily said, i know). You need a good rheumatologist / doctor with experience with lupus, and try meds until symptoms get better control. Even if you are uninsured, you can go through closest medical school's clinic system to get access to expert, and social work can help find ways to fund medicines.

Aspergillosis: See a pulmonary and/or an allergy specialist... They can help you deal with your cough. Steroids of sometimes antifungals are used.

Many possibilities: It could be so many things from sleep apnea to hormonal issues such as thyroid or testosterone (if you are a male), to electrolytes/vitamin deficiencies to even depression. I recommend seeing your physician to do some testing. Good luck.
