can you normally feel lymph nodes in your groin? i can feel it on both sides but one side feels larger than the other. im not sick and have no infection of any sort. easily moveable, not painful or warm/red.

Depends on size: Groin lumps (either male or female) can be caused by infected lymph nodes, enlarged non-infected lymph nodes, skin cysts, abscesses in the skin, etc... A bigger lump might even be a hernia. One's primary care doctor can evaluate to see what it might be, and offer advice on treatment or testing. That said, normal people generally have small nodes (smaller than a dime) in their groins.

are you supposed to be able to feel lymph nodes in your groin? im confused whether or not youre supposed to feel them or if its normal to feel them. if i feel them does that mean theyre enlarged or can you just feel them in certain people?

Groind nodes: Everybody has this. Insignificant and unimportant. Don't keep examining yourself: repeated prodding and poking might cause pain and enlargement, making it seem more important. Don't worry about it.

Yes: There are many potential reasons for this, but only a doctor examining these and evaluating the potential causes can work this out.

Possible: Intermittent lymph node enlargement with redness is possible but not likely to be cancer. Please see your health provider for assessment and treatment.

Little chance.: Cancer is rare in your age group.  Lymph nodes can be temporarily enlarged for lots of reasons: infection, or trauma (shaving), reaction to a new soap/detergent, etc.  Get checked out and be sure everything is okay and then you can relax. Practice safe sex or you could get an std which can be nearly as bad as cancer.

Not Normal, BUT...: May not be pathological either.  Best for you to get an evaluation of your chronic lypmhadenopathy.
