: hypoglycemia is markedly overdiagnosed up here but do not know about down there. Dx made by checking sugar during fasting and what is is when my have symptoms of hypoglycemia. I would check with local ObGYN and Endo.

Low glucose: You were clearly had hypoglycemia (h) and are not diabetic on medications. The possible causes of h, in your case are, too much alcohol, severe illnesses of the liver, such as severe hepatitis, can cause hypoglycemia. Another cause is a rare tumor of the pancreas (insulinoma) may cause overproduction of insulin, resulting in hypoglycemia. See a physician for help with your problem. Good luck.

: The more time your blood sugar gets low, the less your body is aware that it is low. If you have diabetes, that is a problem when your body is not aware that it is low.

Quite common: If you are on insulin and do not check your blood sugars or  skip meals it can easily happen. If you are not on insulin it is very uncommon. You should see your doctor for testing.

You bet...: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can certainly cause a general weakness feeling, unsteady, near fainting, etc.
In obese individuals, this might be a pre-diabetes symptom.  In a slender person, this might infer that they do not have adequate stored carbohydrates to respond to drops in blood sugar.
Regardless, hypoglycemia should be evaluated by your physician so that specific counsel can be given.

my daughter is 11 and if she doesnt eat in the morning has low blood sugar levels in the 50's.  when she eats it usually goes up to 110.  she has fainted a few times if she skips breakfast and becomes very sleepy and goes to sleep.  she has had blood work
