i have a sore throat for four days now i don't feel sick it feels like i may have a  scratch in there.  i been drinking  hot tea, orange juice.

Nothing Strong: Tea is ok, however orange juice is too irritating on the tissue.  Use something that is more gengle to the tissue.  Also you can  do the usual way is to take liquid medicine or cough drops designed for the throat.  The old way is to gargle with peroxide, the new way is to gargle with Chlorhexidine gluconate (brand name = Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) and needs an rx from your physician or dentist).

Food Myths: The only benefit is the cooling these drinks may offer the inflamed throat. There would be no other specific health benefits for a cold or sore throat.

Go ahead: Orange juice should be fine with mono.  Sometimes acidic drink might irritate your throat when you're sick, especially if the illness makes your throat scratchy, and stripped away the natural mucus of the throat lining.  If it hurts, stop.  Hydration in general is important in mono.  Avoid any contact sports for a while, your spleen may be enlarged.

Thats a bit: Aggressive. Adding honey ; a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea is often used for a sore throat. Saltwater gargles: mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water – gargle several times a day.

i think i had uti because i was urinating a lot and my head dizzy. i brought probiotics,orange juice and drink lot water. i think it going away i still urinate still little to much and dizziness is going but my left lower back has pain. is it sore?

: You need to see a MD for urinary tract infection urine testing and possible treatment as this potential infection may not go away without antibiotic Rx. The downside of ignoring this problem is the infection can ascend to the kidneys which may be the source of your back pain.

Ginger juice: Better of two choices, though honestly not familiar with is use for sore thoat but is safe, avoid alcohol for any medical problem, it is not a medication.
 Try honey, warm herbal tea, hot shower, cough drops,  salt water gargle, hot chicken soup, honestly home remedies, besides alcohol, are best choices.

Lemon juice helps: Generally, lemon juice increase salivation and may help moisten or lubricate an irritated throat. Most commonly, chronic sore throats are dry or irritated. Mouth breathing and acid reflux are two very common causes of sore throat.
