No its not okay: Healthy people, when something really bothers them, stop doing what bothers them.  EXCEPT, when what they are getting out of that activity is REALLY worth it to them. So, for you, drinking (and I am guessing getting drunk) is more important than pain from eroding your esophagus and possibly ultimately causing damage/bleeding. This sounds to me  like a problem where sobriety is the solution. Try it

No health advantages: I can not think of any health advantages to beer drinking. Daily drinking of beer may lead to gastritis, ulcers and damage to the liver and nervous systems.

Not recommended: No one knows exactly the cause of the  gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). However, research has shown the results remain diverse and contradictory.  Some study showed no significant associations between beer consumption and reflux symptoms. Another found that drinking beer decrease in reflux symptoms. The consensus is limit or avoid consumption.

In moderation: There is no specific interaction between ethanol and keflex. A drink or two with Cephalexin isn't going to interact, but moderation is the key. Too much alcohol and your body's ability to fight off infection is lowered, which defeats the purpose of taking an antibiotic in the first place.

Why are you on it?: If you are on the medication to assist in getting pregnant, then alcohol is not your friend.  If you are talking about one or two beers on an occasion, it shouldn't make any difference.  If you are talking a six-pack a day (or any regular use), alcohol impairs ovulation as well as the maturation of follicles.  If it is being used in the setting of breast cancer prevention, alcohol is also not good.

No: I am always worried when people who are sick ask if they can drink while they're sick - this to me is a potential indicator of a drinking problem. You are on Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for some kind of infection (respiratory or urinary usually), and alcohol is not good for people with infections - it suppresses our immune system, makes it harder for white cells to find and eat bacteria. Talk to your doctor/counselor.

Healing needed: Your liver (and probably you) have been through a major trauma.  Your liver specifically needs to heal, and will show enzyme abnormalities for some time.  Alcohol is a toxin to your liver.  Your  own doctors -- who know your case, how your liver got injured, and the unique factors that can slow or speed your personal healing -- are the best ones to answer any questions about ingesting alcohol.

No: I am always worried when people who are sick ask if they can drink while they're sick - this to me is a potential indicator of a drinking problem. You are on Amoxil (amoxicillin) for some kind of infection, and alcohol is not good for people with infections - it suppresses our immune system, makes it harder for white cells to find and eat bacteria. Alcohol has many drug interactions. Talk to your doctor.
