Transfusion Reaction: A severe  transfusion reaction (such as hemolytic transfusion reaction) could potential cause death (especially if not caught early and treated appropriately).

No risk, no worry: Nobody has ever been known to catch HIV through a contaminated environment. You will be at risk if and when you are sexually acrive or if you use drugs by injection and share needles with other persons. Otherwise no risk and no worries. (Since no cases are acquired this way, the biological reasons don't matter. HIV dies when blood or secretions die, but there may be other reasons as well.)

i have varicose veins. in one leg, there is a hard, hot and very painful lump. is it a blood clot? can i die from this?

Yes and probably not: Sounds like superficial venous thrombphlebitis, which can spread to become deep venous thrombophlebitis, a condition which can cause pulmonary embolism and death.  If you have no calf tenderness or swelling, DVT is not likely.  More concerning is skin erosion, which can lead to bleeding and infection.  Have your doctor look at it.

Very unlikely but: If the blood was fresh and you had a open cut in your hand and blood entered and the blood was from a person who was positive for HIV.There are too many assumptions.But if you still have concern get a blood test in 4 weeks ang if negative another in three months

Near death: If you are talking about near death experiences like seeing 'the light' or dead loved ones, I am unaware of anyone proving a mechanism for this.

Tiny cut: If you are sexually active it could be a tear from insertion of the penis into your vagina. Try using a generous amount of lubrication to ease this process.

Unfortunately, : Unfortunately, genetic testing can take a little time - in some cases up to six weeks depending on the hospital or lab that is running the test.  For a more accurate answer, you should call the doctor that sent the test.  If they have experience with the genetic testing lab and this particular test, they can give you a better (and possibly shorter!) idea of how long it will take.  Good luck to you!

Little if any risk: It takes a lot more blood exposure than this to have any HIV risk -- even if the child had HIV (which is extremely unlkely unless this happened in an area with high HIV frequency, like southern Africa).

Yes, death.: If you were to lose 83% of your blood volume, yes you would be dead, and die prior to reaching that volume lost. Can only donate one whole unit (~500ml) of blood or two pheresed units of blood with the plasma and non-red-blood-cells returned.
