Hello. : Hello. Your granddaughter could have transmitted a virus or bacteria to you. However, that does not mean that the germ would necessarily express it self the same way.  For instance, you granddaughter might have a cold which you "catch". You might then develop a cold, but the germs could move to your sinuses and you develop a sinus infection. Or the cold could cause congestion which closes off on your eustachian tube- so you now develop ear symptoms.

Sinusitis and covid: Covid 19 can be dangerous in anybody but more so in people with chronic illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, compromised immune system etc. Sinusitis is not considered one of these. About 80 % of patients have only mild illness.

See below: You may have congestion in your airways. An inhaler such as symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) may help you. You should see a doctor and have them listen to your chest.

Probably not: I'm not sure what forced air heat is but colds and infection are spread mostly by contact with someone who is ill. We spread most viruses by mucous droplets, not from weather conditions or heated air.

May be: Nasal rinses with xylitol may be more effective than simple saline solutions. They may not prevent sinusitis, but will help reduce their occurrence. This does not mean that you do not need replacement ig. That depends on what your overall symptoms, what kind of infections you had and so forth. Even if you need igg, it can be given by subcutaneous infusion (into the skin of the abdomen or thigh).

Depends on details: There's no strict rule about how to do this. Also, it depends on the illness, the patient, the drug dose, etc... Sometimes, especially milder cases, a patient might not need to "catch up." Other times, such as in bad asthma attacks, the doctor may want the patient to "catch up." A lot of times, people just do an "in between," such as taking 1 of the 2 missed pills and ignoring the other one.
