when i took my vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) 30mg after 1 day break with concerta 36mg vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) worked again. i allways tought i had a high tolerance can somone explain why 30mg works again?

Concerta is a long-: Acting form of methylphenidate in a tube with an oros delivery system inside to absorb water and push medication out slowly so it will last 10-12 hrs and some immediate release methylphenidate as a coating to get the effect started. It must not be cut/crushed/chewed as that will disrupt integrity and cause all to release at once. Prescriber can adjust dose and regimen to work better. Best regards.

Do not cut in half: Concerta is a specialized extended release preparation.  If you try to cut it in half it will lose that property and you will not get predictably a half dose.
