can having to much sugar/soda cause oral yeast infection?i dont have hiv or diabetes. what could be causing me to have a yeast infection in my mouth?

Likely not: Yeast does like to grow in moist places and with sugar.However,without recent antibiotics or diabetes,HIV,etc would be unlikely in mouth.A white coat tongue alone usually is not yeast and would need to be inside on sides of mouth cheeks,Yeast will not scrap off without bleeding also.If it is yeast something else is going on-recent antibiotics or diabetes etc.Get seen.

Antibiotic use?: Just to make sure we are on same page - are you sure it's yeast - was it seen under microscope?
If so - have you taken antibiotics for other causes? If so, that might predispose you to it because the vaginal flora has been changed.
Another thing is there are some yeast that are more resistant to antifungals - have you been on only one type or multiple?

diagnosed by doctor i have yeast infection. can it cause the clitoris to look red and dry(wrinkly)? tested negative for sti/diabetes. and does a negative sti means negative hpv?

: If  the area is involved in the infection, yes though it is uncommon. Keep the clitoral area clean. STI is a broad term  including many diseases  and testing for HPV may or may not be included depending on the lab. you have to ask your MD.  Also if clitoral area not better after a week or so.

in april i had my 1st yeast infection & several more since. i had my iud removed 6 days ago because it was misplaced. could this have been the reason? pid ruled out, i'm not pregnant & no diabetes. std tests negative. what else could be the cause?

Causes unknown: Having an IUD is not a likely cause of recurrent or persistent yeast infections. Except for diabetes, usually no particular cause is known. Assuming the diagnosis of yeast has been confirmed, speak with your doctor about periodic (e.g. weekly) fluconazole (Diflucan®) to stay ahead of the problem.

More common: Much more common in women (and men) who have diabetes, particularly if their sugars are not kept in good control. Glucose control can reduce incidence back to near normal.

Possibly: Recurrent skin infections are one sign of diabetes, but they can have other causes as well.  You should be seen by physician and evaluated.

I don't know: Yeast infections are due to a fungus called candida which is normally found in the vagina. However, if there is a lack of healthy vaginal bacteria it can lead to overgrowth of yeast. Some causes of overgrowth: antibiotics, ^ estrogen (pregnancy or some birth control pills), malfunctioning immune system, diabetes mellitus as well as friction against vaginal tissues (intercourse) and douching.

No: No. The underlying cause for your recurrent yeast infections would need to be medically assessed. It  can become more problematic with anyone who is immunosuppressed.

Possibly  have DM: Get blood glucose monitor over-the-counter in pharmacy.

Check sugar after overnight fast-  if126 diabetic.
Or

check 2 hours after eating
if 200 , diabetic.
