Causes unknown: Having an IUD is not a likely cause of recurrent or persistent yeast infections. Except for diabetes, usually no particular cause is known. Assuming the diagnosis of yeast has been confirmed, speak with your doctor about periodic (e.g. weekly) fluconazole (DiflucanĀ®) to stay ahead of the problem.
