Yes.   Anti-: depressants, even atypical ones, have side effect profiles that include these two symptoms.   Other problem s.e.'s are sleeplessness, agitation, headaches, irritability, restlessness, even psychosis, if lest unattended.   Consult with your prescribing MD to eliminate other causes.

i think i am. experiencing a manic episode with the main symptoms being high levels of agitation and irritability. i have recently gone onto wellbutrin and can't get hold of my psychiatrist. what should i do?

Need care: If your psychiatrist is not available there should be someone covering for them -If worse after the wellbutin added stopping it may help, IF really cannot track your doc down seeing someone new , if you are feeling out of control, Suicidal or getting yourself into trouble the ER would be a good choice as inpatient treatment  is likely indicated. Irritable: A medication is not the only way to fix this.  Please think  holistically. See doc to make sure you do not have medical issues such as thyroid or other hormone imbalances.  How is your diet and exercise level?  Are there decisions you need to make?  Consider seeing a mental health pro for support and clarification.  Peace and good health.

EVAL: Get a psychiatric evaluation for your symptomology and severity, and possible medication management. Then get a referral to a reputable clinician who specializes in whatever ails you. Do NOT attempt to diagnose yourself.

Antidepressants: and other medications can loose their effectiveness over time.  Please visit your doctor.  He/she MAY change the med you are taking or adjust the dosage. i have been taking 225mg of venlafaxine and 50mg of trazodone for a few months now. the doctor has added 150mg of bupropion a week ago. my friends say that i'm extremely moody and irritable and thinking more negatively.could the new medicines cause this?

Antidepressants: My concern is that u r on 3 antidepressants. Adding wellbutrin (bupropion) seems to coincide with the symptoms that developed. Discuss with the prescribing physician as soon as possible.
