currently taking milk thistle , dandelion ,licoriche and artichoke. will they react negatively with tramadol?

Unlikely: Dandelion has diuretic properties, milk thistle enhances liver detoxification, licorice helps adrenal glands, and artichoke thins bile and makes the gall bladder contract. The tramadol may get metabolized a little more quickly, but I do not expect an interaction that could be harmful.

i am having stomach pain due to constipation. stool softeners alone are not helping. can i take phillips milk of magnesia stimulant free with the stool softener? currently prescribed tramadol for ulnar nerve contusion with possible nerve damage.

YES: Philips is a "gentle" preparation..BTW the TRAMADOL may be the "CULPRIT" it is an "opiate like" medication and has a side effect of constipation!

Hemorrhoids : this really depends on how long has it been since the procedure - you should be well healed in 7-10 days

Depends: Would not take both together. You must wait till time for next dose of Codeine to take a tramadol. Don't mix them and preferrably you will stick to one for the future.

: Not known as nephrotoxic, doses may need to be adjusted if preexisting renal failure, relatively safe for short term use and providing it is tolerated.

Probably not.: Abrupt discontinuation of tramadol is generally safe and often not associated with significant withdraw symptoms, if any.  If this occurs it should be mild, albeit, uncomfortable for perhaps 3 days.  While more aggressive withdraw symptoms could occur, it would be uncommon.

: Tramadol as a single dose for three consecutive days should not be hepatotoxic, but could be depending on other medications/drugs/supplements being used.  Be sure to discuss all your medications with your provider.

Different drugs...: Carprofen is now used primarily in the veterinary field, but it is available and can be taken by humans.  Tramadol is used primarily for acute significant pain. They should be taken together with caution, using the tramadol only when needed for moderate to moderately severe bouts of pain.

Depends on...: The maximal dose a person can take depends on her tolerance of the medication (what effects and side effects happen), what other meds she is on, and what condition her organs (such as liver and kidney) are in. The usual doses of ultram (tramadol) are in the 50-200mg per dose range.

Tramadol duration: Tramadol normally has a duration of action of between 4 - 6 hours so i would advise that you follow the directions as prescribed by your doctor and take your tramadol twice a day.
