Maybe: That is not a typical symptom I am familiar with but too much anything will cause some symptoms. Best way to find out is to stop it and see if headache symptoms improves in a week or two. If you have bee on c for awhile and then have a headache it may not be related unless you increased your dose a lot.

if i take "1 a day" multivitamins, vitamin c, and elderberry gummies, does it cause my (tension) headache to worsen or will it reduce headache?

: Tension headaches may be relieved by reducing eye strain, relaxation, and stress reduction. Have a vision test.I If you are. feeling otherwise well, a daily multivitamin, healthy diet and avoiding dehydration are recommended.  The multivitamin is often not necessary if you have a balanced healthy diet If you have a throbbing headache, nausea, vomiting, please see the Emergency department.

Possibly: Vitamin c has been linked and used for circulation issues, and some headaches may be relieved by the vitamin.  More and more research needs to be done.  Everyone is different, just like with meds, on how much vit c is needed and for how long.  Ask your dr.

Infection: Cough too?  Fairly common for someone who has recently had the flu to get a pneumonia.

Flu or COVID-19?: If "flu tablets" means an effective antiviral drug such as oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and there's been no improvement, probably you don't have influenza but some other viral infection. It could be COVID-19; if you have not been tested for coronavirus, ask your doctor about it ASAP. Good luck.

: The current Covid virus does not really cause severe disease in most people, especially if you are vaccinated. Most of the symptoms will not be any more severe than you are already experiencing-mostly flu-like symptoms. You should feel much better in a few days. Treating symptoms is all that is needed. Drink plenty of fluids and acetaminophen for fever/aches. Good luck to you!

Certainly could be: Dehydration is always a concern with diarrhea and would be the most likely explanation for developing light-headedness after/with a period of diarrhea.  The headache and heat intolerance may be related as well but are less likely to improve simply with hydration.  The vitamin C is not a likely cause here.  Drinking plenty of fluids, water, sports drinks, thin soup/broth, will be important.

No: Vitamin C intake would not cause deficiency of potassium. Sources of vitamin C like orange juice also have potassium.

Possible: There are many causes of hives.  Most likely, too much vitamin c is not the cause but rather something that contains vitamin c (like a supplement or a food).

2 grams daily: A study at UT Southwestern found that ingestion of 2 grams of vitamin C daily resulted in a statistically higher urinary oxalate concentration than in the placebo group.  Since oxalate is a major component of calcium stones, the conclusion of the study was that one should ingest less than 2 grams of vitamin C daily.
