: Normal no fasting glucose levels for a non diabetic is 80-140. A desired.glucose after a meal for the diabetic patient is under 180 while a good reading for a random blood glucose is 125 or lower.

Not much: Rhinocort contains a steroid but topical use should not materially raise your blood sugar. Do let your doctor know if you start using it.

No: Hi. No, amoxicillin cannot raise blood sugar. Infection and stress certainly can raise blood sugar, however. So whatever your partner is taking the amoxicillin FOR could certainly cause a rise in blood sugar. If your partner is on a dose-adjustable medicine (essentially insulin), your pard should take more insulin until the infection is resolved. Good luck!

Good beta cells: If your insulin-producing beta cells are working well, the Insulin gets squirted out very quickly with a meal and your glucose may not go up much at all.  This is good.  Congratulations.

Quitting : Quitting smoking does not directly raise your blood sugar. Indirectly it can rise due to an increase in food consumption, which is common after one quits.
Other factors to consider that raise blood glucose levels are:
inactivity 
medication side effects 
infections/illness 
hormonal changes
stress

Family practice : Why are you checking your blood sugars. Do you have any symptoms?  It would matter how or if you treat the low bs 's.  You should have an Insulin level.  Eat less carbohydrates and more protein with your diet.
