Probably no: Lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to an inflammation causing increased fluid and or increased white blood cells within the lymph nodes. That inflammation's cause can be a simple mild infection or inflammation.  Unless the TMJ is associated or caused by an inflammation or infection within the joint, then the surrounding nodes could swell.

i have a tender, moveable, swollen lymph node (i think) between my ear and my tmj. my ear feels full, my jaw hurts, and i have post-nasal drip. could this be a dental cause if i feel no pain in my teeth? on antibiox, but should i go to dentist now?

: The swollen lymph node and jaw pain with your post nasal drip may be ear infection. It may be best to see your PCP first to have a look in your ear.

Lots of tension: Tmj alone can cause headaches but does not usually cause neck or shoulder pain.  You may be having tension headaches though which usually occur in the shoulders, neck, posterior head and can spread. Tension headaches, TMJ and swollen lymph nodes can all be caused by stress. So first relax, then see your doctor if the lymph nodes persist or you develop fevers or additional symptoms.

Definitely: Tmj (disorder) can occur at anytime and can come and go with periods of stress or difference in routine. Swollen lymph nodes are not commonly associated and i would go back for a quick check up in case it's actually something else.

May need a biopsy: How do you know its a lymph node? It could just be a little benign fat tumor called a lipoma. Your doctor should palpate it a decide whether it needs to be biopsied.

Not likely: A swollen lymph gland in the neck would not be related to ingested food, but would be secondarily caused by infection/inflammation somewhere in that region as a rule. If that swollen node doesn't recede after a couple of weeks,if it enlarges or if other new nodes appear, consult your physician for evaluation.

NO not at all: Swollen nodes in neck would have no connection with your prostatitisd. That is not possible as there is no connection between the prostate gland and the lymph nodes in the neck. Go get a doctor to check your neck and seek his/her advice.

Depends: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, chronic myeloid leukemia would explain these features. It would be prudent to discuss the matter with your doctor.
