: No, small amount of fluid is not uncommonly seen in the pelvic cul de sac and it moves with changing position (free flow fluid). Those noted conditions are not known as the cause of fluid in the abdominal cavity. Take care.

i went to the er due to severe pain in my right side. the er doctor said i had numerous fibroids. they ruled kidney stones but could not see it. what should i do?

Get to GYN: The er is there for an emergency; they have to take their best guess and make sure your not dying.  You may need an ultrasound if not done but you probably had a ct.  See your ob/ gyn, he may have felt them on pelvic but they are harder to see on ct scan than ultrasound.

Kidney stones or UTI: Kidney stones are frequently associated with UTI. You should check this first. Typically large fibroids push on the bladder and it is slow and continuos process. Abrupt onset of symptoms is usually directs towards bladder and kidneys problems.

Could be: Depending on the size, location of your fibroids - yes.  They can cause pelvic pain, position changes can exacerbate sometimes.  Other causes of positional pains can be: hernias, groin pulls, ovarian cysts.   But it could definitely be due to fibroids if they are large. Honestly - small fibroids, (2cm or less, often do not cause pain).

It can be: Depending on the location and size of the tumors, many women experience back aches.

Fibroids &amp; pain: When uterine fibroids produce such severe pain, they are usually beginning to degenerate (rot on the inside). You need to see a GYN MD and discuss options for treatment.

Fluids: kidney stones are painful.  You can drink fluids to increase you urine volume.  Try water.  Don't increase fluids by drinking more soda or high fructose energy drinks.  If you need pain medications see your doctor.  Good luck hope you pass them soon.

Yes: Yes, vicodin will help alleviate the pain from a kidney stone.  Other treatment options may include motrin, advil, and ibuprofen.  Increasing your water intake will help pass the kidney stone while using the above medications if needed for pain control.
