I went to the er due to severe pain in my right side. the er doctor said i had numerous fibroids. they ruled kidney stones but could not see it. what should i do?

Get to GYN: The er is there for an emergency; they have to take their best guess and make sure your not dying. You may need an ultrasound if not done but you probably had a ct. See your ob/ gyn, he may have felt them on pelvic but they are harder to see on ct scan than ultrasound.

Location of pain: Best test for kidney stone is cat scan and for uterus fibroids - ultrasound . Also sometimes if one has kidney stone, urine test may show calcium crystals. Kidney stone can radiate from flank to groin, whereas uterine fibroids pain is typically localized to groin / pelvic / lower abdomen

Have 2nd opinion: You would need a cut to rule out stones so u may need s second opinion if this has not been done.
