Fracture : Splitting is the method of choice in the treatment of finger injuries including fractures. However the sprint should hold the finger in the functional position and not straight.If after 4 weeks there is no improvement when you remove the splint see your doctor

Be seen: You need to be seen immediately.  If you cannot move your fingers, it could be something serious like compartment syndrome.

Be seen : I would certainly be seen in follow up for a specific diagnosis.  A tendon rupture is just one example of an injury that will not show up in X-ray but will have symptoms consistent with what you are describing.  Follow up with an orthopedic surgeon.

: Trigger digit can respond to ice and  inflammatories. However if the problem is persistent it's been shown that between 47 and 90% of trigger fingers get better with a single solitary corticosteroid injection   Dupuytrens disease is when the fascia contracts and the finger cant straighten, it starts with nodules or lumps in the palm. DJD or arthritis can also affect a fingers ability to straighten

Finger injury: You may have an injury to the tendons in your finger. One possibility is mallet finger. If there was an injury recently then it should be xrayed. If there is pain then you should have it looked at by a doctor as soon as you can.

Unclear: Without a more thorough history and without examining you, it is difficult to determine what is happening. You may have a trigger finger which reveals itself mostly while you sleep and you notice it when you awaken. I'd recommend you see a hand surgeon before things get worse.
