my veins have become more visible.chest, lower abdomen, arms, legs(none bulge) - is this normal because i'm really pale? or a result of bcp and stress?

Prominent veins: Prominent veins are normal in light colored/pale people. Veins can be hormone sensitive and bulge and cause pain during your cycle. Unless they become &gt;2-3mm and painful i would ignore them.

very stressed/overwhelmed lately, right neck vein bulges and feels like it's gonna explode. i try to calm down n it feels soar. how do i relax?

De-stressing: You can try massage, or shopping spree.  Or if you were me, a musical concert (classical or symphonic, not hard rock or metal) and a glass of wine in the evenings.  Good luck.

Accepted Answer

No.: They might be caused by holding your breath or yelling or other physical exertion but stress alone shouldn't cause them.  If you have veins in your chest showing for no reason - see your doctor.  This may be a sign of a deeper blockage such as superior vena cava syndrome.

4th gen at 22 days and did oraquick at 9 weeks (negative) i know someone said i 99% dont have hiv but for clear results retest with 4th gen but im broke right now. i just want to stop stressing until i afford to retest. exposure:needlestick in vein?

: If you needlestick exposure was by a drug user whose injection equipment you were using, you should be in the care of an HIV/AIDS or infectious diseases expert. If you had needle puncture for medical purposes (blood drawing, an IV medication, etc) there was zero risk for HIV and you did not need testing, and should not waste any more time or money on another test.

wondering if it's normal to have 2 veins protruding in the forehead when stressed or angry?

Positional change.: The veins in the face just as the veins in the rest of the body change in size depending on changes in position as well as changes in levels of hydration and changes in pressure in the chest and abdominal cavity. In the face, the veins decrease with standing and increase with lying down.  Straining or laughing increase the the pressure in the chest which can increase the size of the facial veins.

had a stress test turned out fine but they pulled out big needle from the bend of my arm , now vein is hard  about 2 + inches  why?

Phlebitis.: This is inflammation of your vessel and should be treated with warm compresses and an anti inflammatory medicine like Motrin if you can take that.  If it is not getting better or spreading up your arm or causing other body symptoms you should see someone right away.

is intermittent pain on a vein inside of the right side of head a sign of aneurysm? i get it now and then dr says its stress but i'm super worried

Sympathetic surge: This sounds like a stress reaction that causes over activity of the sympathetic nervous system.  This can cause surge in blood pressure, increased flow of blood into head and neck with distention of the bluish draining veins in the face and neck.  This can cause stress on the heart and predispose to heart attack or stroke.  He needs a thorough medical evaluation.  He needs stress reduction.

why are there two veins started showing up on the right side of my forehead? im not feeling stressed and im not having headaches. first of all, i first thought wi might have been sleeping on the side of my face and i thought thats why they are the?

: There are many blood vessels on the head surface and many possibilities as to what can cause them to be more visible. Is your blood pressure higher than usual? Sleeping on that side of the face may be the culprit-try sleeping on the opposite side and see if the veins on the first side go back down. If so, then that is the reason. If not, see if your blood pressure is the problem. Good luck!

Vein: A vein sticking out can be from anatomic means like a nearby artery pushing on the vein and causing back pressure. If your doc has examined you and finds nothing to worry about, it is likely some internal insignificant partial obstruction. Since you've had so many studies, your Doc should be able to advise you.
