No: Fibromyalgia does not produce weakness if weakness is defined as loss of muscle strength.  However, fibromyalgia may produce fatigue or lack of effort which may be confused with weakness. Fibromyalgia may also produce a great deal of pain that interferes with full application of strength.  This condition is detected by the astute clinician as "give way" weakness, not true weakness.

Not usually: This would not be expected unless the person were so fatigued from loss of sleep that h/she were dozing off from exhaustion.  Drooling is more often related to bell's palsey or a stroke.

Sxs of strep throat can include: pain of throat; large, red tonsils w white exudates; small red dots on roof of  mouth; swollen lymph nodes on neck; fever, headache, rash, difficulty swallowing, fatigue or rash. Complications can include infection of middle ear, sinuses, tonsils, skin, blood as well as scarlet fever, inflammation of kidney (glomerulonephritis) ; eventually rheumatic fever.

Strep: Strep infections can cause generalized body aches which can translate into chest and back discomfort.  Anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen can help with these symptoms.

However, use of narcotic/opioid medication to manage chronic pain can decrease testosterone & thus weaken erectile function. Also, chronic pain can affect one's sexual performance. Check w/your doc to be sure ed isn't due to cholesterol etc.

Exclusion: Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion.  After all other conditions causing that spectrum of symptoms are eliminated, fibromyalgia is what is left.  Diagnoses are made using testing that is 'above' standard thresholds.  Things below those thresholds, but which cause legitimate symptoms are what is left.  Fibromyalgia does not affect the eyes although sufferers do have ey problems.

i got my results back from my culture- negative for herpes, positive for strep b. what is strep b and  can it cause similar symptoms?

Bacterial infection: This is better news (compared to herpes) because it can be completely eradicated. You simply need to see your doctor for antibiotics and follow-up.
