Plan B: 3 days is cutting it very close: emergency contraception is available and must be taken, usually within 48 hours of unprotected intercourse; however may last for 3 days. Always use protection: condoms and BC pills.

What does "safe": Mean? It won't harm or kill anyone, but it certainly could cause an unwanted pregnancy if the vagina was connected to a fertile female. Haven't you hear about protected sex to prevent pregnancy and hiv/std infections? If not, you should certainly learn.

Very small chance: Studies have shown that sperm can survive inside a woman's body and fertilize an egg for up to six days.  If you are having your period, have sex, and ovulate within six days of having sex - you have about a 3 in 1000 chance of conceiving.  Not a great chance, but not a zero chance either.

Conception: If a woman has regular 28 day cycles, she is most likely to get pregnant 14 days prior to her period, or after for that matter.  5 days before the period is usually a less fertile time, but of course anything is possible.  Less fertile is not infertile.

: If your periods have been regular (24-32 days apart), and intercourse with "penetration" occurred before the condom was applied, sperm can be present in pre-ejaculate before full ejaculation occurs after the condom.  Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about possible pregnancy.
