Sinus pain: You may need to have your allergies checked, nasal congestion can lead to ear and sinus congetion. You should take sudafed before you get on a plane until you have the mater resolved.

Yeah they connect : Your ears, nose, throat and sinuses are all connected. So if you rinse out your ears, fluid can collect in a sinus. See an ENT doctor for an exam. They can help drain any fluid that has collected.

Serous otitis media: Fluid from his cold and sinuses have backed uo and involve his middle ears he has a condition known as serous otitis media.  See your doctor or an ENT physician for treatment.

Sinus connection: The nasal cavity and the ear are connected by a conduit called the eustachian tube. This tube helps drain ear contents and equalize pressure in the ear. During sinus infections, the nasal cavity is congested or inflamed and the opening of the eustachian tube in the back of the nose also gets swollen/blocked - causing ear symptoms due to unequal ear pressure or collection fluid in the ear.

Sinusitis can do it: When the sinuses are inflamed, they can cause different things to occur: headache, plugged ears, stuffed nose, feeling like your teeth hurt. So yes, if the maxillary sinuses are inflamed, it could feel like it's near the ears, or inside the ears. If you're experiencing a high level of discomfort, see your doctor, so they can do a full head, ears, eyes, nose, throat examination, and give you more information about this.

Eustachian tube: Connects the ear to the nose. The rinse and air pressure went up the canal. This caused tension on ear drum. The fluid should drain back to nose. If ear still hurting, see doctor.

External otitis: External otitis - an infection.  Usually develops from using Q-tips or getting water in ear.Use OTC antiseptic ear drops or apply a drop or two of isopropyl alcohol with a medicine dropper in the ear canal. Shake head to swish the drops and then tilt the head to allow the canal to drain out. The ear drops or alcohol dry up excess water and help kill bacteria. See ENT doc if not better. NO Q-TIPS!!

i currently regularly get that my ears close/block with humming sound. last a day or so and then gone. do not suffer from sinus and never had it befor?

Ear sounds: You MAY have an inner ear infection or perhaps Tinnitus, ringing in ears.  Please see your doctor.  Consider using Spry chewing gum, which is a natural way to help your situation.
