No: because virtually every test now measures how concentrated or dilute your urine is, and if you have been water loading to dilute your urine, the test will pick that up, and you will fail that test. I strongly suggest you worry more about the drug problem you are trying to hide, than worrying about getting caught.

Danger: Likely not (drs expect people to try this, and can detect/confirm this maneuver easily), but also water intoxication exists; seizures, coma and death are possible if drinking excessive water (causes hyponatremia and other imbalances). The best way to pass a drug test is to stay clean. Call na/aa hotlines, or 1855detox-00 if you need help with drug problems. Good luck !

Possible: But cocaine metabolites can stay in your system for days to a week or more. If they are using a hair follicle test, it will detect use within the last 6 months. I would be remiss if I did not address the far more pressing issue that using cocaine is extremely dangerous. If you workout, eat healthy, and drink lots of water, why are you doing something so damaging to your body? Seek help!

Accepted Answer

Declare it: If you truly took it accidentally, there are 2 possibilities.  If  prescribed, you should be fine taking it, nothing to hide, it should appear in your active meds. If this was prescribed to something else in the house and you took it by mistake you still should be fine as long as you declare it. Otherwise how do you explain taking "accidentally" medicine that was not supposed to be around you?

Not really: Because the metabolites of the amphetamine are detected and it takes time to metabolize the drug.

Idea: I'm sorry that anybody's involved with tobacco / nicotine addiction. If a low level is detected, it might be accepted as due to passive smoking. I very much hope she'll stay tobacco-free.

Depends: Freq and amt of use matters, so does BMI, age, etc, etc. Half-life varies from 1 to 10 days! If you rarely use a bit and are thin, a week may be ok but not for sure. To be safer a few weeks are best. Good luck! Do the water several days before but esp test day!

Not likely: If you dilute your urine excessively (with a specific gravity of 1.003 or less, or a creatinine of 30 (some say 20) or less), your urine will be flagged as adulterated.  It generally takes that level of dilution to reduce a substance to an undetectable level. Am more concerned with your using a (presumably nonprescribed) oxycodone tablet and being more concerned with test than with ? Drug problem.

First of all, no: ethical doctor is, or at least should be, telling you how to falsify the result of a medical test.  Second of all, one of the things measured in virtually all urine drug tests nowadays is the specific gravity and/or creatinine level, and this can show definitively if you have been water-loading, and your test will be voided. Some people will consider it a positive test. So, there is no amount.
