Should be OK.: A five day course of Prednisone should not result in significant suppression of the adrenal gland functionality.  You should be OK for this oral surgery.

Not likely: Depending on the surgery and your condition, that dose of medication for seven days is not troublesome generally.

Paresthesia: Depending upon the individual circumstances, it may require antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, further surgery, time for the body to repair and recover or a combination of these. Your own oral surgeon can give you the best advice. See a second or even third oral surgeon for second opinions if necessary. Most patients with paresthesia eventually recover full feeling, but not all.

Sounds normal: you did not describe the surgery but you are still early in the healing stage.  Contact the surgeon if you have any questions about healing and or results.

Vitamin A: You are taking Prednisone and have concerns about wound healing.  There are always concerns when a condition requires immunosuppression but vitamin a can help.  Your surgeon will use extra precautions also like using  staples and keeping them in place longer.

Interesting: prednisone can delay wound healing and can lower resistance to infection. i would wait a few weeks before having cosmetic surgery which implants a breast prosthesis. some docs rinse out the spce that the implant is going into using prednisone and antibiotics in the hopes of reducing scarring and infection, but it is not proven to be of value.

opthamologist prescribed postop prednisone eye drops to use after my closed angle laser treatment 4x/day for 4 days. i am scheduled for an adrenalectomy 6 days after the eye surgery. will steroid eye drops interfere w/my adrenalectomy or is it safe?

: The postop prednisone eye drops should be used as prescribed. I am not sure what you mean by the eye drops interfering with your adrenalectomy because it is unlikely to stop them from doing the scheduled surgery; however it is important to let your physician know about the use of ophthalmic steroid because it could still be absorbed into your body and may just have to be factored into what is.

can oral contraceptives delay healing after wisdom teeth surgery?

No, but: Oral contraception has not been shown to delay healing of extraction sites however there is an observed increased chance of alveolar osteitis (dry socket)  with women using oral contraceptives.  Also of significance is that antibiotics prescribed after oral surgery have been shown to inactivate birth control pills so alterative birth control should be used when takeing antibiotics.
