Not all month: Pms is also called premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It's not well understood but may have to do with changes in Progesterone levels during one's cycle. Typically it starts around ovulation and goes away around the time of menses.

i have experienced severe pms after ovulation for four days. the 5th and 6th day after ovulation i did not experience pms.  is this normal?

Not Uncommon: Estrogen levels peak at ovulation and then begin to fall. Progesterone levels rise post ovulation and then fall immediately before menstruation. These hormones come from your ovary. Both mood and physical symptoms are affected by the cyclic changes of these hormones.

In brief no. : Pms or late luteal phase dysphoric disorder requires symptoms to be bunched in the premenstrual portion of the month. Symptoms that occur through the month are more likely due to depression, an anxiety disorder or other medical causes.

Hard to guess: DepoProvera works by blocking the release of pituitary gonadotropin hormones that normally keep menstrual cycles regular. Once the Depo's blocking is removed, the normal ovulation cycle should resume (but it's not predictable exactly when). Experts on HealthTap have mentioned 9-18 months as the time range. A urine pregnancy test done 3 weeks after sex and ovulation can check for pregnancy.
