Yes: If you're asking whether absence of one testicle will be noticeable, then the answer is no, assuming the other one left remaining is functional. Not only can one functional testicle produce enough testosterone to keep a man masculinized, it's also enough to keep him fertile. In other words, you won't notice any clinical difference after an orchiectomy (surgical removal of testicle).

It shouldn't...: Having only one testicle should not effect your testosterone level if you have normal leydig cell function in the remaining testicle. These cells make testosterone (t). Many who have lost a testicle to localized cancer, torsion, or fetal loss do not require supplemental t. But if you have atrophy, damage, or radiation therapy to the remaining testis, you may need to check & supplement with t.

i lost right testicle due to torsion last month...... my second one got little bigger...... should i be worried? testosterone is  normal now

Torsion: Normally the surgeon places a couple of sutures on the other testicle to avoid torsion in the other testicle. This may have caused a small amount of fluid in the sac and make feel bigger. If still worried, go and see the surgeon.

if my child has one undescended testicle, will he be able to produce the same amount of testosterone as a regular person?

Yes: Men with one testicle have normal sperm production and fertility.  I am concerned about the undescended testicle, however.  Undescended testicles should be surgically corrected, early in life to preserve the testicle's function; more importantly, to decrease the risk of testicular cancer.  If the testes hasn't descended after 1 year of age, see a peds urologist or surgeon.

Testosterone: One testis should take over just fine but have your doctor check that your T level is OK. How/why did you lose a testis?

: The testis makes one of the hormones needed for your body to go through puberty and finish growing. If you are doing so at a normal rate a doctor would not order such a test just because you had only one testis. Your growth and changes through puberty are evidence enough it works okay by itself.

i got one testicle removed when i was 12 (11 years ago). i am really into bodybuilding and planning to do a testosterone cycle on trt level. will this have effect on my fertility, and how to combat this? thank you for answering?

: Having just one testicle has no effect on testosterone level. The level is not determined directly by the testicles, but by the pituitary gland, which secretes gonadotropin releasing hormone. GRH in turn regulates testosterone production by the testicles. One testicle has more than enough hormone-secreting cells to meet the need.
