Epigastric pain.: Your abdominal pain could be a number of reasons.  This could be related to gallbladder dysfunction, peptic ulcers (gastric or duodenal), indigestion, musculoskeletal.  If symptoms persist, suggest further work up.

IBS: Is a difficult to make diagnosis and a chronic disease in the sense that there is no known cure. Lifestyle modifications with relaxation techniques and diet scrutiny and modifications are first steps. Best managed by a team including your PCP, gastroenterologist and psychologist. Treatment is individualized and dictated by poorly tolerated symptoms.

This : This needs to be medically evaluated.  There are several possibilities that it could be, but any abdominal mass needs to be evaluated, especially if it is painful.  If he develops vomiting, increased pain, or fever then he needs emergency evaluation.

: Pinched nerves are not usually accompanied by skin involvement. If you have had chicken pox as a kid, i would be more concerned about shingles. This can cause stabbing pain involving the skin even before you see the rash.
