: Testing focuses on the item to be studied, not all things. These tests require specific equipment and personnel time. The nicotine and cotinine show up in urine tests when looked for specifically. They are not part of tonsillitis testing.

Depends: the test.

With urine it is usually 1/2 the dose every day.  Therefore after 14 days the nicotine concentration will be about 0.006% the dose, if it  were 100% on day 0.

Depends: What was tested? The test results for nicotine and/or its metabolite are usually reported as positive or negative.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Don't use nicotine: If you are smoking or chewing tobacco and your employer (or whoever) is testing for it, it is going to test positive unless you quit.  Cotinine, the main metabolite that is usually tested for, will remain positive 3-4 days in most tests, up to a week for more sensitive tests. You can find websites on "beating" tests, but most of these don't work, and testing companies now test for them/

No: I am aware of no evidence that this would be effective. The amount of nicotine that could be adsorbed through charcoal would be minimal, and if you were regularly consuming nicotine in tobacco products it would still be detectable in saliva, blood or urine tests for cotinine.

Irritated throat: With strep throat, the "skin" (mucous membrane) is very inflamed and tender (friable).  The swab can easily scratch this lining and you can have a bit of bleeding. You should not have much and it should stop quickly. If the swab was much rougher than you have experienced before, then the person who swabbed your throat needs to be re-trained and tell your doc, or the lab director
