Texting: At your age this is muscular. Yes it is directly due to you constantly flexing and looking down due to texting. You have to modify this is you do not want neck issues as you get older.

Migraines : The symptoms that you describe are likely a tension migraine. Going to the emergency room is not necessary unless symptoms worsen . Call your doctor in the morning to get an evaluation and treatment.

back in february, i was experiencing neck pain that radiated up to the back of my head. about mid march, the pain went away. but just a week ago, it came back. dull neck pains, tightness in multiple regions of head, strained eyes, and tingling. ideas?

: The tingling may indicate an inflammation of nerves.
 Eye strain may be associated with muscular strain resulting in headache. Please see your PCP.  If you have had a neck injury or associated weakness, please see the Emergency room. Good posture and physical therapy may be helpful, depending on the underlying cause.

Migraines?: You may be experiencing a migraine. You can try Excedrin migraine (contains aspirin, acetaminophen, caffeine). There are other prescription meds that might also help.

Possibly: Shoulder and neck pain dont really "cause" chest tightness, but a herniated disc in the neck can sometimes cause all these problems, including chest pain/tighteness that can seem like a heart attack.

Neck pain: Large breasts rather than an uncomfortable bra is more commonly the cause of neck pain. In my practice, I will refer patients to plastic surgeons for a breast reduction procedure to eliminate the neck pain when other nonoperative measures have failed. If you are physically uncomfortable then you can get neck pain due to muscular stress. So go to a specialty bra store for a comfortable fit.

: I agree that your symptoms can be explained by excessive tension in muscles caused by stress &amp; anxiety. I recommend a combination of stress management therapy by a mental health professional, massage therapy sessions and a prescription for muscle relaxants like flexeril, but only after an evaluation &amp; eventual agreement of both the diagnosis &amp; treatment suggestions by your MD.
