I should draw this: Place a small blanket onto a bed/surface in a diamond position with the top corner folded down. This is where your baby's head will go. Then take on corner at the side and cross it over your baby then tucking it under his bottom. Now take the corner by his feet, cover the feet and bring it up and over the shoulder opposite the side you tucked. Then the remaining corner crosses the body.

Interact: While the answer to this question may seem natural to some mothers, to others it is not.  That's okay.  Pick up your baby and talk to him.  Cuddle her.  Give him backrubs.  Stroke her hair.  Play with their hands and feet.  Read to them (it is never too early).  Most of all, just love them.  They will know.

May be normal: It is normal for newborns to lose up to 10% of their birth weight within the first week of life. This weight loss represents excess body fluid. By two weeks of age, your newborn should be back at his birth weight, if not above. Swaddle 'em :-): Yes, it is okay to swaddle babies. This is a technique to keep the baby warm and comfortable. A new concept has been promoted that encourages a different technique allowing the legs to be separated. This allows the hips to stay more in the socket (hip joint). I wish i could do as good a job as the nursery staff in teaching new parents how to effectively wrap the babies. Kudos to them!

However, in instances when vaccination has been stopped, the diseases returned.  An example of a recurring illness is the current outbreak of whooping cough.

Yes.: Yes. There is no evidence that it is harmful and it prevents hemorrhagic disease of the newborn. Many parents have foregone the shot and had no problems. If you have a boy, most physicians will not do a circumcision if the child has not had vit k. It is a bad thing to have continued blleeding and oozing form a circumcision.

Day of birth: A car seat should be used from the day of birth ANYTIME infant is traveling in a car. If baby was premature or very tiny, bring the car seat up to the hospital and ask the baby be monitored in your car seat to make sure breathing is fine in that seat. If not, car beds for premature infants are available until the baby gets big enough for a conventional car seat.

Yes: Be cautious and use your best judgement. Always be present with your baby when your pet is near her. Acclimating your pet to the new family addition is always a good idea. Before your baby comes home bring an item of clothing that the baby has worn in the nursery home for your pet to get used to the infant scent.

Yes: But avoid crowded public places, especially during the cold/flu season in your area.

Is Possible: Most likely it is just the irritation from the fumes/aerosol or odor. Or it could be an irritant contact dermatitis if they get a rash when touching it. It could be an allergy, but is less likely.
