just entered week 6 of pregnancy but no morning sickness. is this cause for concern? websites say that by week 6 one should have morning sickness as a sign of a healthy pregnancy.

No concern: Not having morning sickness is not a cause for concern. You may wish to ask your doctor to monitor you HCG level, if you have any concern.

: This is where it would be critical to reestablish early with your Obs-Gyn doc or team in order to have your pregnancy followed properly and symptoms treated timely. Nobody could remotely answer your question without access to details from your previous pregnancy as well as an early physical exam.

Preg test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Probably not: It is not uncommon to continue to have pregnancy symptoms.  You most likely still have significant effects from the hormones that are still present in your body.  Talk with your doctor at your follow up visit.

Check pregnancy test: The first step would be to perform a pregnancy test. These are available over-the-counter at a low cost. If the net if the test is negative i would consider seeing a gastroenterologist to investigate other causes.

Yes: A medication containing doxylamine succinate (an antihistamine) in combination with pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) is effective for morning sickness.
It was previously available under the name Bendectin in the U.S., and has been available as Diclectin in Canada.  It is now available again in the U.S. under the name Diclegis.

There is no evidence this medication is harmful to a fetus.

You had nausea: That's all.  At this point you have no evidence of pregnancy.  When you have confirmation of pregnancy, then you can call it morning sickness.  Right now it's an upset stomach.

Go see your doctor: You've labeled yourself a guy so i suspect your morning sickness isn't due to a prolonged pregnancy. You didn't mention your medications, some of which can cause nausea & fatigue. Poorly controlled dm can also cause fatigue, as can anemia & hypothyroidism. Best to go see your family doc for complete evaluation. Tell him/her what you've noted above. Good luck!

i take trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) & celexa. are they known to cause side effects when taken together? i've been having severe nausea & morning sickness since day one.

Unsure: Either one can cause nausea.  Did you start them at the same time?   Some women get nausea the first month on oral contraceptives.  Some people also get nausea initially on celexa.  Since you describe it as morning sickness, I would lean toward the trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) as the cause.

Missed period: Stress and anxiety are most common causes to miss a period among other causes.
