i was diagoned with 5mm kidney stone stuck in left ureter with .my urologist give me urorec 8mg alpha blocker.from six days i dont have any pain but have some gastric discomfort and side pain with loose motion..is my stone psssed away or still stuck?

: If feeling OK then no worries.  Strain your urine if it has not passed yet so it can be analyzed to see kind and select best treatment to prevent. Only an x-ray can really tell assuming it is radio opaque.

Complex: Pain on the left side, i presume in the flank, may be due to another new stone on the left or be unrelated i.e. Due to a muscular or skeletal cause.
See your doctor for a diagnosis of your pain.

3 mm stone: If no infx and pain under control  may pass stone of that size 70-80% chance, but if pain increases and or infx, surgery may be needed.

No: Normally, if you have a stone on the right, it will always hurt on the right side. It is possible that you might be passing a very small stone on the other side that might account for the pain switching sides but typically the pain is on one side only and stays that way.

Renal stones/colic: Aggressive Fluid hydration and pain meds.  If no relief, you need to see the Urologist for possible stenting, or other treatment modalities performed by them.

Kidney stone move: Can a kidney stone move from one side to  other? ANS: if u have 2 separate kidneys No. if you have horseshoe kidney possible. More likely to have stoned on both sides.  So check with your team.

Kidney stones.: That depends...do you have kidney stones in both kidneys?  If you do, then it wouldn't be unreasonable  to have renal colic-type pains on either side. But, you should make sure and not just assume that these are kidney stone-related pains.

Something else?: Gallstones? Right kidney infection? Need to get evaluated. Having a left kidney stone does not immunize you from other problems. You are at higher risk for developing stones on the left side too!
