i'm a 35 year old adult within 3 weeks i have got strep throat and this last time severe joint pain hands, knees and back.. i don't feel any better?

Post Strep: There are poststreptococcal arthritis syndromes. The best known is acute rheumatic fever. More often in adults we see post streptococcal arthritis. I cannot say for sure you have that picture need an evaluation. Often if your strep throat is treated soon enough such occurrences can be prevented. Your arthritis evaluation will clarify that.

Untreated Strep: Strep throat is a bacterial infection that is cured with antibiotics. Untreated Strep infections can lead to diseases of the joints, heart, kidneys and nervous system.  If exposed and symptomatic, a visit to your doctor for a Strep test would be wise.

if i have a uti (not under meds) and get strep throat with fever over 101........joint and body aches with sore throat........can that make uti worse?

Possible: Since you are not on antibiotics, your immune system has to do all the work.  If you have other infections going on, your body may be weaker allowing the infections to worsen.  However, even without the sore throat and joint aches, UTI will get worse over time.  Also, with your combination of symptoms, i would get checked out asap and get antibiotics.  All your symptoms may be from stds.

The : The short answer is, of course, "yes-you should see a doctor."

without insurance, though, it becomes a more difficult answer.  There are a few things that make it more important to see a physician.  If you are getting dehydrated, you may need IV fluids.  If you have a high fever (not with your current temperature) that does not come down with tylenol (acetaminophen) or anti-inflammatories, you could have a more severe infection.  If you have trouble breathing, you may have pneumonia.  Depending on your age, you could also have mononucleosis, in which case your liver and spleen need to be checked.

Assuming you saw your mother recently, you could have what she had.  However, there are many different strains of flu and some are more dangerous than others.

Depending on your age and family history, the chest tightness you are having could be concerning for a heart attack.

You will have to decide the risks of waiting it out to see if you get better vs. The risks of missing something serious that is best treated early.  Unfortunately, it takes a lot of resources to provide medical care and it is expensive.  But also think about the costs of not seeing a doctor.

Infection: call your physician for a rapid stept and mono test. This can be either a bacterial or a viral infection and requires examination and treatment.
