depends...: If he becomes obese, the likelihood to develop type 2 diabetes is certainly high. The chance is even higher if the affected child belongs to ethnic minority or has first degree relative with type 2 diabetes. Besides, he should be encouraged to take enough dairy products and vitamin d for his bone health.

Yes: While it is not likely that you will get diabetes, you do have a higher chance of getting diabetes.  There is a condition called "polyglandular syndrome" which include: hashimoto's thyroid disease (hypothyroidism), addison's disease and type 1 diabetes.  You already have hypothyroidism and addison's disease, so you should be followed closely for the development of diabetes.

Ask the doctor!: You don't give enough information. But with both diabetes and thyroid function on your doctor's mind, I would wonder if you are obese, which increases diabetes risk and is sometimes (but rarely) due to under active thyroid. But I'm only guessing. Your doctor should have explained it to you -- but if she didn't, just ask.
