Conj cyst: These frequently fill back up if lanced with a needle. Other 2 options: argon laser and full excision (which has best success).

how do you remove a conjunctival eye cyst?

Accepted Answer

Excision: A benign conjunctival cyst that causes associated irritation or is large enough to be bothersome, can be excised under local or topical anesthesia. I do these in my office under an operating microscope, and i generally have to place an absorbable suture to secure the wound.

Contact lense: U can wear all day, take them off at night to soke in cleaning solution.

i have corneal scar can i wear contact lens again after having corneal ulcer?

Accepted Answer

Yes: You can if they are new, the correct fit, and you have been examined by your eye doctor.  It may be possible the ulcer left damage to the cornea and you will not be able to wear them.  It is possible the contacts led to the ulcer, make sure they are the proper fit, you are taking care of them as instructed and do not sleep in them.

It depends on lens: The safest way to wear lenses are the type which are replaced or sterilized every day.  With any type of extended-wear lens, the risks of infection, corneal irritation, allergy or blood vessel growth increase.  We recommend our patients to stick to the daily wear or replacement regimen with daily disinfection.

Depends: On the contact.  Most are daily wear meaning they can be worn all waking hours but should be removed for sleep.  There are few that are designed for continuous wear.

how bad is it to wear a torn contact lens?

Accepted Answer

Uncomfortable: A torn lens will be irritating and it may not center well so the vision is less clear.  It is simply not optimum but probably not harmful in and of itself, although such a lens will decenter and cause discomfort.

how to remove bandage contact lens? is it ok to wear it for a week?

Accepted Answer

Needs evaluation: Bandage lenses are inserted to minimize pain of ocular surface disease and help to promote healing.  Generally they are checked in 1-3 days by the ophthalmologist who inserted the lens (you are seeing a real doctor, not an optometrist for eye disease?).  You should not have this left in for a week.  Return for a recheck.

is it ok to wear a 1.5 year old contact lens?

Contact lenses: If the lenses are clean and hygienicaly cared for and comfortable on insertion there should be no problem.
