No problem: Taking both vitamin D and iron together should not be a problem.  Your stomach may be sensitive to one of these drugs so if you have any symptoms such as nausea or pain you should try taking them at different times.

: Iron tablet should be taken with meal for avoiding stomach upset. You can take vitamin D at the same time with iron tablet during or after dinner time. You should avoid taking iron pill when you have milk or milk products. For probiotics you can take any time but some advise not to take probiotics with a large meal or with empty stomach so I guess breakfast should be a good time.

Cheap is best: Find the cheapest, general multivitamin with iron you can find. Try your local pharmacy or big box store. Don&#x27;t buy fancy brands as they are no better. Actually, you&#x27;ll get all the vitamins you need from a good diet. For iron eat red meat and dark leafy vegetables. Do not take large doses of vitamins. Now, i know there are people who will insist their expensive vitamins are best, but they&#x27;re wrong.

can you raise ferritin levels with high iron diet alone? or is it similar to vitamin d in that it takes supplements and months to bring up?

Depends: If you have iron deficiency anemia, it will take months with oral iron supplements. Menstruating women are not uncommonly iron deficient and it would be prudent to take oral iron and multivitamins.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
