Drug interactions: I found no interaction btwn Ciprofloxacin (prescription medication) &amp; saw palmetto (dietary supplement) at http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=2046-0,672-332. Always tell your prescribing doc everything you take before accepting new medication. That way, s/he can check for interactions before prescribing. And ask dispensing pharmacist for his/her input, too.

Prostatitis: Prostatitis can occur at any age after puberty.  Flomax (tamsulosin) will relax the prostate and make it easier to urinate but likely wont be needed long term as it is primarily used for BPH and you are too young for bph.

Prostate Fluid: Yes, but why would you? The Flomax (tamsulosin) works in a very similar way to saw palmetto.

Urethral stricture: Although there is some evidence to suggest that Saw Palmetto works with benign prostatic hypertrophy, I know of nothing to suggest it helps with strictures. This is a mechanical obstruction that responded best to dilatation.  I would follow the advice of my urologist.

FYI: The Journal of the American Medical Association reported on a double-blind study that eleven North American clinics conducted on 369 men. The study found that saw palmetto fruit extract failed to reduce urinary tract symptoms more than placebo.

Yes: Both saw palmetto and ginger have many proven health benefits and there is no reason to not take them. Herbal medicines are often combined, in fact there are many herbal formulas that contain a dozen or more herbs. It is rare for there to be 2 herbs that can not be taken together. Yes, with caution: These are all safe to take if under 18, but should be used with caution as they all can affect estrogen and other hormone levels. The question is why does this person want to take all 3? These could increase breast size- is that the reason? It might be wise to work with a practitioner knowledgeable in the use of these herbs.

Yes.: The Doxycycline should be taken with a meal, preferably dinner. The others can be taken anytime you want to take them.

Not a cure!: Saw palmetto does not cure chlamydia. You need to be seen and tested, as well treated with antibiotics as chlamydia has dangerous long term effects if not treated.  Get seen today!

Beta Prostate: As a 59 year old male I have also had BPH symptoms.  I have used a product with beta sitosterol with success.  This is much more concentrated and should hasten your transition time.  Ask your urologist about the best way to transition.
