No problem: They can be taken together -- indeed, Pepto Bismol and other antacids may reduce the gastrointestinal cramps and upset that can occur with azithromycin.

Yes: yes, once in a while, but if your stool turns dark, you won‘t be able to tell if it is from too much salicylate-caused bleeding or just from pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate).

: I would not take pepto bismol , it has aspirin which is irritating to the stomach If you have some ginger ale consider that or  just make some ginger tea or make tea and put a bit of ginger ( 1/8 teaspoon) in it and rest in a chair. or in bed with  head and shoulder elevated. Yes, but...: If you've been vomiting for a solid week, I would see your doctor as soon as you can regardless.  These at worst can be signs of a serious infection or an intestinal blockage.  Pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) will be unlikely to help this, though it can be taken.

IBS: Ibs can go through stages of exacerbation and quiescents. During exacerbation one must rule out inciting event: dietary, stress, infectious.  Stool cultures need to be obtain. If there was exposure to antibiotics, travel history or dietary indiscretion.  Peptobismol can cause black stool. However one must rule out GI bleeding. Stool for hidden blood can be helpful to distinguish between two.

Try acid reducer: Try taking ranitidine or Famotidine in addition to the prilosec, or temporarily take Prilosec 2x per day.   Of course watch your intake of hot, spicy, acidic foods.  For immediate relief try calcium carbonate (tums), sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), or Gaviscon which is otc and may help coat and sooth your esophagus.  Peptones-bismol can help too.
