Please check with OB: Pregnancy and svt should be closely monitored by your obstetrician!  Lopressor (metoprolol tartrate) would not be my drug of choice with your pregnancy in mind; would rather have prescribed an alpha-blocker...And any medication must be category b.  Please check with your o.B.!

is a supraventricular tachycardia dangerous in pregnancy?

SVT & pregnancy: Svt, or supraventricular tachycardia can be serious in pregnancy for two reasons.  First some of the meds used to treat preterm labor can cause or worsen svt.  In addition, episodes of svt can lower blood pressure or cause syncope either of these can be harmful to the fetus.  If you have any episodes of tachycardia, see your physician right away.

Very low: Low because of birth control medications. No change in risk from the pull out technique.

Sex: The pill is not 100% effective and pulling out by your boyfriend is even less effective. I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, but you most certainly can still get pregnant.

ive heard that adding vitamins a and d to diet during pregnancy may help control skin itchiness and rashes. is this true? how much should i take?

Be careful: The body does need vitamin a and d in pregnancy.  However, vitamin a in high doses can cause cleft lip and palate in the baby.  Your prenatal vitamin pill should have enough vitamin a.
Many people are low in vitamin d. Your doctor can check your vit d level to see if you should take extra. The amount needed depends on the vitamin d level in your blood.

i take a generic birth control brand called norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol usp (1mg/0.02mg). am i safe from pregnancy during my 7 day break? my last pill was saturday (03/27/21) and i started my new pack today (04/04/21). am i on time?

: You are correct in your timing. Day 21 is your last pill, then you have 7 days off and you start the new pack on day 29 (day 1). The total cycle is 28 days before you start the new pack. Try to take your pill at around the same time every day for best effectiveness. If you miss even one pill, use an alternative form of birth control for 10 days while resuming your hormonal contraceptive.

is adalat (nifedipine) ok  during pregnancy to control high blood pressure?

Accepted Answer

No: It is not safe in pregnancy.  Your doctor will have to change it if you become pregnant.

Tylenol (acetaminophen): Depends on what your are tanking the medicines for.
