To be certain, however, check the label of your sleep aid &amp; obtain the name or active ingredient &amp; ring ur pharmacist and/or MD. Always tell each of ur prescribers all meds ur taking, including over the counter meds/supplements for proper counsel! :)

No worries: This is a theoretical concern only; the actual effect of iron or calcium on ciprofloxacin absorption is small. You should avoid taking a large dose of antacid (or iron pills) simultaneously with cipro. Otherwise don't worry about it. Certainly the calcium or iron in foods has no signficant effect.

Which one?: Using ciprofloxacin with aspirin can ^ effects of ciprofloxacin (http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=243-0,672-0). It should be fine with Tylenol (acetaminophen).

i have been taking ciprofloxacin 500mg for the last 3 days. the pharmacist said i should take 1 a day but i noticed that on the box it says take 1 tablet 12 hourly that means 2 a day. do i increase the dose or continue to take 1 a day?

Generally..: this drug is given twice a day and generally one follows the advice on the bottle. HOWEVER, cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this is true unless there are other medicines or conditions. CIPRO happens to interact with the liver and other drugs that go thru the liver such as seizure, heart, methadone, and HIV medicines. If it is the only drug and no liver issues, it's usually 2x.

Cannot  find:  a reason why not!....Ginkgo should  NOT be taken with medications given to slow blood clotting...eg: Warfarin, Aspirin, Plavix, Xaralto......that's the major interaction....Hope this is helpful!
