hello! i took one dose of azo (2 pills) and i didnt realize that you couldnt take it while breastfeeding. i normally only feed my son at night , so will i be able to still feed him by 9 if i took the medicine around 10:15/10:30?

: No it would not be out of your system for 48hrs. Pl find another way of feeding. Pl- do not take ANY medicine while pregnant or lactating without consulting your doc. good luck

Decide with doctor: When taken by mouth, Cataflam is present in breast milk. Topical Cataflam is absorbed into the body less than by mouth, although small amounts may be present in breastmilk, and your little one may be exposed to it. The decision to continue should be made together with your doctor, but it comes down to the benefit of therapy vs. risk to your infant (e.g., what if s/he has an allergy to it).

No Meds: Breasts are just funny this way!  The trick thing about milk is that it just wants to keep coming... You certainly could put baby to breast here and there to give baby antibodies.   If you want to stop altogether, you just have to stop checking for it .  When you check, it's enough stimulation to keep it flowing!  There is such a thing as pituitary tumor causing milk production, but extremely rare

No problem: There has been concerns that the antihistamines can reduce your BM volume but this has not borne out in studies. At this point the kid is doing it more for nurturing than nutrition anyway. When they have moved to solid foods the true benefit of BM is diluted. Yet nurturing is a benefit of the process.

Feeding: You can enhance your breast milk by pumping and increasing your fluid intake. If you want to give the formula, similac is a good option, sometimes the children don't like the taste, try it first thing in the morn, when the baby is really hungry.
