how many hours apart can you drink the equate day time cold medicine and the night time cold and flu medicine and i had another question about another medicine it was about the claritin medication it was how many of those pills can you take in a day ?

Hard to guess: Claritin (loratadine) is a once-a-day medication, and does wear off somewhat by night time. Regarding cold medications for example... if Nyquil, with its own antihistamine, is taken at night time, a person would be taking 2 antihistamines, which may or may not be a problem. Each person is different. His doctor can evaluate to see if there anything serious going on.

Loratadine: while antihistamines are safe taken in high doses, 20mg twice a day of loratadine can be sedating. Whatever he symptom control he is trying to achieve, obviously an antihistamine is not controlling them. I strongly suggest he sees an allergist to address his symptoms
